Assembly Sketches
Work BreakDown 3D Sketch
A Work BreakDown 3D sketch is a 3D view of a specific group of items in the Work BreakDown tree, labeled and presented a predefined table. The function makes it possible to make sketches of each work breakdown level. Manual changes can be made to the generated skeches. WBD 3D sketches and/or single 3D views in the sketches and/or the tables in the sketches can be loaded into Work BreakDown sheet drawings
Before using this function, an assembly sketch layout must be created in System Management > Production > Assembly Sketch > Sketch Layout. In addition, the following fields must be defined in System Management > Production > Work BreakDown > Levels: Level name, Area/weight and Report layout name.
For detailed information, see Work Breakdown 3D Sketch.
Work BreakDown 2D Drawing
A Work BreakDown 2D drawing is an a perpendicular drawing of the parts from the selected work breakdown level. The system generates these drawings of all parts within a Work BreakDown level. This makes it possible to get a complet overview of each WBD level.
Work BreakDown 2D drawings are related to the WBD level name. The system creates a WBD 2D drawing for each plate, bracket or shell frame in plan view. The naming of the drawings is composed of the name of the Work BreakDown level and the plane level of the construction. WBD 2D drawings are stored in the block folder, subfolder wbd2d, and within that, each WBD level drawings in its own subfolder.
Together with Work BreakDown 3D sketches, single 2D drawings can be loaded into a WBD sheet drawing (see Sheet drawings).
For more information, see Work Breakdown 2D Drawing.
DXF Parts to Sketch
With the DXF Parts to Sketch function it is possible to generate 2D measurement sketches of coded parts in combination with the 3D work breakdown sketch, according to the Work BreakDown structure of the part.
Before using this function, a sketch layout must be created in System Management > Production > Part Sketch > Sketch Layout.
A single measurement sketch can also be loaded in a WBD sheet drawing (see Sheet drawings).
For more information, see DXF Parts to Sketch.
