Sheet drawings

A sheet drawing is a drawing that contains user-selected views. A sheet drawing also contains a title field showing various types of user-defined information, and a revision table containing revision information.

Sheet drawings can be created and edited in the sheet drawing environment. See Sheet Drawing for more information.

Settings for sheet drawings

The Hull administrator can define several aspects of the appearance of sheet drawings in System Management > Drawings > Sheet Drawings, in the following settings groups:

  • Settings – Set automatically placed views' distance to the sheet borders and the distance between the views.

  • Sizes – Define the sheet drawing sizes. You can set the dimensions and margins for the different size sheet drawings, enable the coordinate system, and set the pen numbers for the borders, folding marks and coordinates. You can also set the plotting date presentation and plotting path.

  • Titlefield Layout – Define the presentation of the information (fields) in the title field of sheet drawings.

See also Sheet Drawings in Administrator's Guides.

Customizing the revision table

The Hull administrator can customize the content and placement of the revision information within the revision table, and also decide what revision information is collected. See Customizing the Revision Table for an overview.

  • The placement of the revision information can be customized by modifying the coordinate points in the title field model titlefield.mod. See Placement of the Information in the Revision Table.

  • The functionality of the revision table is handled by the change.cmd macro together with the change.tab configuration file. The macro retrieves the entered revision information and places it at the correct coordinates in the title field model. The revision designations are also defined in the macro. See Handling of Revisions in the change.cmd Macro.

  • The contents of the revision entry dialog can be customized by editing the change.tab configuration file, where the input fields of the revision entry dialog are defined. In this file the Hull administrator determines what information is collected for the revision table. The name, size, and position of the revision entry dialog are defined in the change.cmd macro. See Customizing the Revision Entry Dialog.
