Gaskets

When the user is inserting a flanged connection (see Flanged connections) in the 3D model, gaskets are automatically inserted, if gaskets have been assigned to the given flanged connection in the piping specification (see Piping specifications).

Gaskets have Dimension Tables and Catalog Parts.

Dimension table

The geometry type is DM_GT_2P.

Define the isometric drawing symbol to use for the gasket.

Define the following dimension attributes:

Nominal size.
Diameter. This is the diameter—inner or outer—that is to be printed in listings.
Length. This is the thickness of the gasket. The quantity type is length.

Catalog part

The connection face type is "Auxiliary point".

Gaskets in piping specifications

In Component classes, define the Component Class "Gaskets for Flange Joints". The connection types are based on the allowed flanged connections defined in the Compatibilities between connection faces configuration object.
